We decided last minute that we wanted to do a little staycation getaway..
So, we chose the Cotswolds! I remember wanting to go to "England's prettiest village" - Bibury. Burford was also named one of the most idyllic towns to live in in the UK so, of course, I wanted to check it out. We found an amazing last minute deal on a B&B so we packed our bags and headed up to the Cotswolds!
We arrived around sunset time, and decided to have a bit of a wander around the town. It was SO idyllic! Everything was so lovely. We ended up stopping for tea and scones (so british of us!) and I bought some Timberland look-a-likes at the Oxford Clothing Store 'cause they were on sale. It was just such a lovely evening! We ended up going to watch The Commuter in a nearby town and their seats at Cineworld are RECLINING. YES. That's what we need here in London.
I fell totally in love with the cheese company - just look at how cute their logo is!
The next day we woke up bright and early and made our way over to Bibury - it truly was like out of a fairytale! There really isn't much to do in Bibury besides going for a walk or having a drink/food (which are pretty great in themselves!) so we had a bit of a walk and then we made our way to find the hobbit house. However, the hobbit house was now closed and on private land (boo), so we went over a field to try and find it but didn't end up spotting it. It was worth it for the adventure we went on!
We then head on to the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Now this little town has a lot to do! There is a motor museum among many other little things to do. We went into a café for another tea & scones round (because you just have to when you're on a staycation) and walked around the village. SO many cute things and places to go.
So, after this, we made our way on home after a lovely time out in the Cotswolds. However, I'm convinced we must come back for a day trip to the Cotswolds in the spring for its gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere. We have yet also to check out Castle Combe so stay tuned ;)
Love,
Nat xx
